4. Once you feel comfortable with the basic mechanics of blocking, you can start practicing against live opponents. This will help you get used to the timing and positioning required to successfully block a real game situation.

5. Always keep your hands up when blocking, and follow through with your arms after making contact with the ball, which will ensure that you can properly deflect the ball back into the court.
