David Krejci Will Take Part In Warmups
Bruins center David Krejci is traveling with the B’s for Game 6 on Friday night at FLA Live Arena despite missing the previous three games of the Bruins first-round playoff series against the Florida Panthers due to an upper-body injury.
Head Coach Jim Montgomery told reporters Thursday: “Krejci is traveling with us, and he has a couple of more boxes to check before we can say he’s a player.”
As of noon Eastern on Friday, it was announced he’ll take part in warmups tonight, but availability is still up in the air.
Gearing Up For Game 6
The Bruins are up 3-2 in the series and have won two of the three games Krejci has missed. The Panthers avoided elimination with a 4-3 victory in overtime on Wednesday night at TD Garden.
If Krejci can play on Friday, he will move into the center position on the second line. In 70 regular-season games this year, Krejci recorded 16 goals and 56 points. For the majority of Krejci’s absence in this series, Pavel Zacha has filled in at center.
