Liverpool Back In Discussion With Jude Bellingham
According to multiple sources, Liverpool is once again in contact with Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham (midfielder) as they lay the groundwork for a 2024 transfer.
The Reds had abandoned their plans to sign the 19-year-old in the summer transfer window, according to numerous reports earlier this month.
It’s thought that Jurgen Klopp’s team still has hope of winning Bellingham next season.
Liverpool has maintained contact with the midfielder’s agents and has stated their intent to move forward with a deal in 2024.
The Reds want Bellingham to stay with Borussia Dortmund, either through his current contract or a new one with a release clause.
His current contract with the Bundesliga’s top team is set to end in June 2025.
Real Madrid is now in the lead to complete a deal this summer, and it is rumored that they have already extended an offer to Bellingham.
Liverpool is planning a significant overhaul of their team in the upcoming summer window, including a refresh of their aging midfield, despite abandoning a deal for the England international.
Dortmund reportedly values Bellingham at more than £130 million; he has made 40 appearances this season and has contributed 11 goals and seven assists.
Despite his young age, the former Birmingham star has also led the German team as captain on several occasions.
After a disastrous season, Liverpool will probably not play in the Champions League during the 2023–24 season.
