Is Dicks Sporting Goods Pet Friendly?
Dicks Sporting Goods stores are pet-friendly based on the discretion of each manager. Certain store locations may allow pets inside as long as they are well-behaved and on a leash. Other store locations may not allow pets inside due to health and safety regulations.
However, all Dicks Sporting Goods stores welcome service animals. Service animals are dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. These tasks can include but are not limited to guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, etc.
If you plan on bringing a service animal into a Dicks Sporting Goods store, be sure to ask the manager about their policy beforehand.
My Experience As An Employee
I worked at Dicks Sporting Goods for over a year, and we never really had a problem letting animals inside the store. I’d just make sure you have them leashed, and it shouldn’t be much of a problem. If you have concerns, call the store and give them a heads-up.
