Yesterday’s Pick of The Day
We hit another POD with ease last night, with the Canucks and stars going over 6 with flying colors. Tonight we’re sticking to the ice with our POD.
Pick of The Day (Record: 11-3-1)
Sabres in Reg (-130)
The Sabres enter today on a 3-game win streak, winning 5 of their last 6, and they are back at home against the tanking Blue Jackets. The Sabres find themselves 1 point behind the Penguins for that final wildcard spot, and I love the spot for the Sabres tonight.
At this price, I think the Sabres, who have a ton to play for right now, are going to win this game pretty easily against a team that is wanting to lose. The Sabres are right on the brink of their first playoff birth in over 10 years!! Give me the Sabres to win this game in regular tonight.
Honorable Mentions (Record 10-4)
Nebraska + 4 (-110)
Cornhuskers have been one of the hottest teams in the league recently. They are coached very well and back home after winning three games in a row. They take on MSU in what will surely be a big test for them, but I think Nebraska keeps this game close and covers the 4-point spread.
Boise -2 (-120)
I feel like everyone, and their mom will be on Boise State tonight. Taking on a San Diego State team coming off a last-second buzzer-beater victory, the Broncos are home and a short favorite. The line movement and the matchups all tell me that the Broncos win this game, and we’re riding with that.
Bryant -3.5 (-115)
I’m testing a theory with this game here. A road team that’s favored by exactly -3.5 points. I believe they cover ATS more often than not. This line seems like the perfect line for Vegas to wrap enough people into taking the home dog when the team on the road is giving the points is the much better team. So far, I’m 2-1 in this little experiment, so I’m testing it out again.
