Yesterday’s Recap
Man, you know what sucks? Hitting all 4 of my honorable mentions yesterday and losing my POD. Hopefully, you failed my honorable mentions as well to make some money. But Xavier was a bad read on my part, Vegas won that round, but we’re going to bounce back today!
Still 6-2-1 on our POD record! Let’s get into it!
Pick of The Day (2/22/23)
James Madison – 1.5 (-105)
This is a tough slate today, but this play stood out to me. JMU picked up a 72-66 on the road against Marshall on Dec. 31 and are amid an impressive 6-1 ATS run across their past seven outings overall. JMU is now back at home with a short line; however, JMU has also performed well against winning teams, going 10-1 ATS in the past 11 games against teams with a record above .500.
This is a huge in-conference game. I like the Dukes at home to get the job done. I think they come out playing with some spark and some fire, and I think they get the job done.
POD Record: 6-2-1
Honorable Mentions: Record (4-0)
Florida +2.5 (-105): This line makes no sense; Kentucky coming off a huge win against Tennessee to now only being -2.5 point favorites on the road against Florida? Give me Florida here with the points.
Islanders/Jets und 5.5 (-124): Not much hockey tonight, but this is my favorite hockey play. Both of these teams are slow, physical teams that play great defense and have good goaltending. I think this has all the makings of a 2-1 or 3-1 game with the under-hitting. Islanders unders are cash cows.
Wisconsin -1 (-108): Wisconsin is home taking on Iowa. Iowa just got thumped on the road by Northwestern, and they are back on the road against Wisconsin. Wisconsin lost by 1 point to a good Rutgers team last time out. I think Wisconsin can take over this game and get a W on their home court.
