Gearing Back Up For March Madness
After a brief hiatus for March Madness weekend, we are back and ready to get back into it. We had a very successful first week of March Madness, and now while we wait for the sweet 16, and elite 8 weekend, we have some hockey to get to.
We have been starting to find our rhythm with the PODs again, hitting 3 in a row and bringing our POD record to 16-13-1! Told you all we would get hot again by March Madness!
Hope everyone’s brackets are doing well; let’s continue to make some money!
Pick of The Day (03/21/2023)
Stars/ Kraken und 6.5 (-122)
Love the under here. Both teams are known for their strong defense. I think this is what we see tonight. This is a potential playoff matchup that we see here tonight in what should be a slow-paced and physical game. I can see this ending around 4-6 goals but can’t see it getting over 6.5. I don’t think either offense is strong enough to do that against the other defense. Take the under tonight.
Honorable Mentions: 23-16
Our honorable mentions have been heating up as well recently, and it’s been a great time for it. We got three more on the ice tonight:
Jets/ Yotes und 6.5 (-122) – Similar story to the POD, except for the fact that Arizona’s defense has not been good, but the Jets. I’m fading the Coyote’s ability to score on the Jets tonight and like this one under 6.5. I can see a 4-1 or 4-2 kind of game tonight.
Canucks/ VGK over 6.5 (-115) – This game screams over. Love both offenses here and love the terrible defense of the Canucks even more. Granted, they have been playing better against a very solid VGK offensive unit; I think we see a good amount of goals flying in this game tonight.
Islanders/ Leafs over 5.5 ( -120) – I know I’m going against one of my commandments here, but the Islanders have not been the under team they have been all year recently. They’ve gone over 5.5 in 4 of their last five games. And tonight, going against a terrific offensive team in the Maple Leafs, I think we see some goals to get us over 5.5.
I think the Islanders can put in a couple themselves as well. We only need 6 to hit this one, and I think this game goes over since the islanders haven’t been as strong defensively as they have been, and they will be able to put in a couple as well tonight
