Yesterdays Bet
Welp, our cold stretch continues. Kraken fail to record more than 6 shots in the 3rd period against the lowly Ducks and don’t hit the over. Done betting on the Kraken for the rest of the season, I think. Brings our record to 12-9-1.
As brutal as I’ve been the past week or so, having a positive record is still something great. We’re up money, and that’s all that matters. I have a play that jumped off the board for me today.
Pick of The Day: Record 12-9-1
Canucks/Ducks ov 6.5 (-120)
2 of my favorite teams to bet on/fade. The over in this one is a great look, and as soon as I saw it this morning, I locked it in right away. The Canucks scored 4 on a tough Predators defense the game before, and the Ducks just played last night in a 7 goal game.
I think the Canucks do a lot of the heavy lifting in this one, putting up at least 4-5 goals. Ducks can absolutely put in at least 2 against a bad Canucks defense. Either way, I love this over, and the Canucks have been by the go-to team for overbetting in the NHL this year; you all know that. Give me the over 6.5 in this late-night game.
Honorable Mentions: Record 15-14
A 1-2 day yesterday with my honorable mentions, but I plan on going 2-0 tonight:
OSU -2 -> I love Ohio State tonight. They’ve been pretty bad all season but have won 2 of their last 3 against some pretty solid competition. I think Wisconsin is grossly overrated as well, and this line tells you all you need to know. Vegas knows that OSU is the better team in this one, and I’m riding with what Vegas thinks.
Nebraska -5.5 – > Nebraska has been one of my favorite teams to bet on recently. They’ve covered 4 of their last 5 and just beat a good Iowa team outright last time out as 11-point dogs. Here they are, 5.5, point favorites on a neutral site against a dog water Minnesota team. I think Nebraska wins this game handily
